Innovative solution among the four finalists for "Stora Inneklimatpriset"

The four nominees in with a chance of winning the "Stora Inneklimatpriset" have now been revealed. The jury has chosen the finalists from the more than 40 submissions they received. Lindab's innovative UltraLink solution is one of the four nominees.

UltraLink is a unique product that changes the way flows and temperatures are measured in our ventilation systems. By providing more exact and thorough measurements even in low flows and air speeds, it offers major benefits in terms of energy efficiency, simplicity and cleaning. In the indoor climate solutions of the future, UltraLink will be seen as an important component, as its properties enable energy benefits that are in line with climate goals and contribute to achieving them.

The technology behind UltraLink is based on ultrasound sensors, which means there are no protruding parts on which dirt can collect. Instead, it offers uninterrupted airflow with reduced pressure loss.

Torbjörn Bruzelius, strategic product manager at Lindab, has this to say about the nomination:

"It is very exciting that UltraLink is one of the four nominees. It proves that it is a solution the whole industry believes in. Our work with smart and complete solutions is ongoing and it is naturally gratifying when an innovative solution like UltraLink receives attention. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a win," concludes a happy Torbjörn.

What is the "Stora Inneklimatpriset"?

The "Stora Inneklimatpriset" was set up in 2001 by Svensk Ventilation, Energi- och miljötekniska föreningen (Society of Energy and Environmental Technology), Svenska kyltekniska föreningen (Swedish Society of Refrigeration) and Slussen.biz. The award is given to a company or an organisation in the fields of indoor climate, energy and HVAC which has developed a significant product, service or method that can be put to practical use. The product/service/method must be innovative, contribute to better indoor climate and long-term limited use of resources.

The aim of the "Stora Inneklimatpriset" is to generate more interest in indoor climate technology, reinforce its position and highlight technologies that promote a healthy indoor climate in energy-efficient buildings.

The award jury consists of members from the three branch organisations as well as chairman Lars Ekberg, Associate Professor in installation technologies at Chalmers University of Technology and manager of the business area Property companies and industry at CIT Energy Management AB.

The other nominees are HSB, Swegon and IUC Utbildningscentrum.

The winner will be presented with the award at the Indoor Climate Gala at Skansen on 18 May. The award is presented by Alf Karlsson, who is state secretary for the Housing and Digital Development minister Peter Eriksson (MP).

At Lindab, good thinking is a philosophy that guides us in everything we do. We have made it our mission to create a healthy indoor climate – and to simplify the construction of sustainable buildings. We do this by designing innovative products and solutions that are easy to use, as well as offering efficient availability and logistics. We are also working on ways to reduce our impact on our environment and climate. We do this by developing methods to produce our solutions using a minimum of energy and natural resources, and by reducing negative effects on the environment. We use steel in our products. It’s one of few materials that can be recycled an infinite number of times without losing any of its properties. This means less carbon emissions in nature and less energy wasted.
